-An explosion occurs at the Xavier Mansion resulting in the disappearance of Charles Xavier and Jean Grey and the destruction of the mansion. During the following year the X-Men would disband and a group called the Mutant Response Division would begin hunting mutants. Logan saves a young girl from a train wreck and the parents take the injured Logan home to heal. Lead by Colonel Moss, who is particularly determined to find Wolverine, the MRD invade the house and capture the family. Logan recruits Beast and the two enter the MRD headquarters freeing the family and captured mutants. Afterwards Logan realizes that the MRD will not back down and proposes to reform the X-Men.
